Program Overview

Do you manage or supervise lawyers or other allied legal professionals? We know it can be difficult, especially since these things aren’t taught in law school and are rarely formally taught on the job. Join the Legal Managers Affinity Group to learn from like-minded professionals to become a more effective and impactful manager.

The Legal Managers Affinity Group is a free, members-only, 4-session program hosted by leadership consultant and coach Carly Basian, and is tailored to the unique challenges you face as a legal professional working in-house.

You should join if you:

• Are in a management/supervisory role (even if that’s not formally in your title)
• Want to be a more effective, impactful, and less-stressed manager
• Are looking to contribute to and benefit from a network of like-minded people working in similar roles

When: February to May 2024 (once a month for 1 hour, dates TBD)
Where: Virtual (Zoom)

About Carly Basian:

Carly is a leadership consultant and coach by day and the Director of Education for 4L Academy by night. Carly has managed numerous teams and has dealt with every management situation under the sun, from coaching and promoting top performers, managing toxic employees, performance conversations, restructuring, and more.

Early on in her career, one thing she wished she had was a group of people who were going through the same experiences to talk through problems, bounce ideas off each other, and be a support system.

After joining the 4L Academy team and becoming immersed in the legal field (not to mention being married to a lawyer), she recognized the issues she faced in her professional career were no different than law. She has worked with law firms, business owners, and managers in both the public and private sector to coach them through organizational and team challenges, resulting in happier teams and happier managers.
